Thoughts On A Humpday...

*There was no 'Thoughts On A Monday' because I was grieving.

*That's not true.

*However, it's quite sad that Whitney Houston passed away at the (still young) age of 48 on Saturday night. Details are still filtering out about the cause of death, but we all know what caused it. The descent of Whitney is heartbreaking. Her voice and her body of work will stand for all time. Armed with a voice of such power, her performance of the Star Spangled Banner stands as the greatest ever and most likely will never be out-performed. Her life took a dark turn when she met, and married, Bobby Brown. Cocaine and alcohol took Whitney and never gave her back. I was pulling for a comeback, it never happened. Rest, dear Whitney.

*It's hard to believe Whitney Houston AND Michael Jackson are both dead.

*At least we still have Prince.

*I give you Abraham Lincoln:Vampire Hunter

First Impression: The tone of this film is nothing like the book. Keep in mind, this is supposed to be a serious action film. I'm just not sure. In the hands of Tim Burton and Timur Bekmanbetov, I'd expect more. We shall see, perhaps it'll be a fun popcorn movie.

*Our future is bleak. We are doomed. Why? There are women that exist willing to give Chris Brown a pass for beating Rhianna into the hospital, because he's 'hawt' and his music is 'bangin'. Check this out.

*BTW...Wil Wheaton is awesome. Seek him out on the interwebs. The rewards are tremendous.

*BTW Part 2: It's never ok to beat a woman. Fame doesn't give you a pass.
