Politics On A Tuesday

Courtesy of dailypolitical.com
As we hurl towards the November election the headlines are chock full of POLITICS! POLITICS! POLITICS! Some of the headlines, the quotes, and the soundbites are enough to make your nose bleed. Get a tissue ready, pinch the bridge of your nose, and put your head back, cause here comes some more!

*America's darling, Rick Santorum, fears that the Obama Administration is putting "critters above people" when it comes to putting laws in place to protect endangered species. He even bashed Newt Gingrich for supporting the EPA and scolded President Obama for being a bad Christian by going against "biblical ideology".
“I accept the fact that the president’s a Christian. I just said when you have world view that elevates the Earth above man and says that we can’t take those resources because we’re going to harm the Earth like things that are not scientifically proven like the politicization of the whole global warming debate.”
This man speaks and I'm just astonished. I wish life were like a Disney movie. The animals would unite and rally to Santorum's home. He'd wake up, put on his robe and slippers only to find lions, tigers, and bears (Oh my!) in his front yard, while a Giraffe playfully peeked in through his bedroom window. They'd change his views and we'd all be happy and singing.  Does this guy like anything except Jesus? At least he referred to Obama as a Christian.

*By the way, 52% of Alabama and Mississippi still believe the President is a Muslim. Yep.

*AND ,even thought Interracial Marriage is on the rise in our decaying country, good ol' Mississippi and Alabama aren't too sure how they feel 'bout that.

*Animal lover Newt Gingrich has stated that he will remain in the hunt for the Republican nom even if he loses on Tuesday's primaries. He's persistent, but I think he just loves the spotlight too much.

*Joe Biden is stepping up and hitting the rally road hard. He hopes the GOP keeps making fools of themselves. He believes Obama would've been a 'One-term president' had the mission to kill Osama failed, and he even went to Central America to talk about gangs. You cannot mess with Joe B!

*Al Gore was at SXSW. I really wonder where the country would be if he won ...wait...he DID win (still stings).

*Pennsylvania joins Texas, North Carolina, and Virginia in states who want to violate woman's rights AND their bodies.

*The GOP is waging a War On Women. I'm not the only one who thinks so, here's some great links to check out.
