The onslaught of automobile ads during Sunday's "Big Game" was nauseating, and if you blinked (or rolled your eyes for a moment) you may have missed a tease for a brand new Captain America: The Winter Soldier. See the full trailer, after the jump.
I have to hand it to Marvel, they're really growing these films and telling really great stories in the process. The Winter Soldier seems to carry a completely different tone than that of The First Avenger, and rightfully so. Cap is living in a different world now. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been leading up to this story arch and should benefit nicely in the aftermath of the events.
Now, before we proceed...SPOILERS!
Lainey Gossip is reporting that they've seen an advanced screening of the film and give a scoop (that we got via NerdBastards.com) that the post credits stinger may indeed introduce us to the newest of Avengers.
…there’s a big reveal that general audiences won’t see coming (and ought to open some doors to fix that awful SHIELD show). But the thing that’s probably going to leave people talking the most is the post-credits stinger. They’re calling them “The Twins”, the brother-sister team of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, and they don’t look like any Marvel heroes we’ve met to date. Having seen them, I am really sad for Fox and the X-Men…It seems likely that the post credits tease would begin to set up Age of Ultron, but this is all speculation. I am very eager to see Joss Whedon's vision of the Maximoff Twins, especially since they are being played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen. I mean, anything is better than this.
